Queue#
Every generation is a job in the queue (6), whether it comes from the Generate tab, the canvas, the Edit tab, a video shoot or a training run. The GPU processes one job at a time; image jobs and video takes share the line.
Working the queue#
- The list shows each batch with its items and state: pending, in progress, completed, failed or cancelled. Expand a batch to see its items.
- Cancel stops the current item (Shift+X); Cancel All Except Current keeps the running job; Clear empties the queue (Ctrl+Shift+X). A cancelled image job stops at its next step; a running video take stops when the runtime reaches a safe point, which can take a minute.
- Prune removes completed and failed entries from the list. The images are already in the gallery; pruning only tidies the view.
- Failed items keep their error text; open one to read why it failed before retrying.
- Generate at the front of the queue (Ctrl+Shift+Enter) jumps ahead of pending work, useful for a quick test while a long batch runs.
Batches#
A generation with several iterations, dynamic prompts or a prompt-builder variation set is one batch. A batch from marked boards is one batch too (see Batch generation from boards). Cancelling a batch cancels all its pending items.
The button badge#
The Generate button in the top bar shows a badge with the number of jobs waiting. Click it to jump to the tab. While the queue runs, the viewer shows progress images if that option is on in Settings, and the tab title shows the progress.
