Edit#

The Edit tab (7) takes one finished image and applies one change at a time. Tools on the right, live preview in the viewer, gallery on the left. Apply & Save writes a new gallery image and continues from it, so every step is kept. Two tools run on your device instantly; the others queue a generation with a Krea 2 model.

The Edit tab with the tool panel

Tool What it does Runs
AI Edit Instruction editing: describe the change in words ("make the jacket red, keep everything else"). GPU, queued
Reimagine A new version of the image from a prompt, at a chosen strength; empty prompt gives a variation. GPU, queued
Change Region Paint a region, describe the change; only the painted region is regenerated, the rest stays pixel-identical. GPU, queued
Image Adjustments Brightness, contrast, saturation, hue; previews live. On device
Crop & Expand Crop with aspect presets, or grow the canvas beyond the image. On device
Change Camera Angle Orbit a 3D gizmo (rotate, vertical, zoom); the preview tilts to show the pose and the image is regenerated from that viewpoint. GPU, queued
Send to Enhance, Turn into Video Hand the image to the Upscaling tab or to the selected shoot in Video Studio. Shortcut

Requirements#

  • A Krea 2 model selected in the Generate panel; other families show "The selected model does not support instruction edit".
  • The Identity Edit LoRA installed (a Krea 2 LoRA whose name contains identity edit). It keeps the person and scene stable while the instruction is applied; without it the tool refuses to queue.

Presets and steps#

Every AI tool has a Preset: Turbo (CFG 1, 8 steps) for additions and quick edits, Raw (CFG 3 to 5.5, 20 to 28 steps) for removals, big changes and viewpoint changes, Auto to follow the model variant. Steps overrides the count for AI Edit and Reimagine. Change Camera Angle always uses Raw: Turbo barely moves the camera.

Grounding resolution (AI Edit) sets the size the instruction model works at; 640 to 768 px matches the training range, higher weakens instruction following. Strength (Reimagine) goes from subtle changes near the source to a free reinterpretation.

Writing instructions that stick#

  • One change per instruction, stated with what to keep: "remove the hat, keep the face and background unchanged".
  • Name the viewpoint explicitly for camera changes: "seen from the left, at eye level". A blanket "change nothing else" freezes the camera.
  • For removals use Raw; Turbo is weak at taking things away.
  • If the face drifts, check that the Identity Edit LoRA is active and lower the grounding resolution.

When to use the canvas instead#

For precise local work (a hand, a background swap, extending the frame) the canvas inpainting path gives more control and, in testing, the most dependable results. Use Edit for global instructions, quick variations, colour and crop, and camera moves.
