Gallery and boards#
The gallery is the right-hand panel of Image Studio. Everything you generate or upload lands there, sorted into boards, and every image keeps the settings that made it.
Boards#
The board strip sits at the top of the panel; click the board name to fold or unfold it. Uncategorized always exists; add your own with the plus button and rename a board by clicking its name.
- Auto-add: new images go to the board marked AUTO. Set it from the board menu (Auto-add to this Board), or turn on Auto-Assign Board on Click in the gallery settings to make the selected board the target.
- Archive a finished board to hide it from the strip (Show Archived Boards brings it back). Delete Board Only keeps the images and moves them to Uncategorized; Delete Board and Images removes both, for good.
- Download Board packs every image into a zip.
- Mark for Batch Generation turns the board into a prompt source; see Batch generation from boards.
- Search boards by name from the strip.
Each board has two tabs: Images are generations saved by Maystro; Assets are files you uploaded (drop them onto the panel) for use as references, layers or sources.
Browsing#
- The gallery settings (gear icon) set the thumbnail size, whether the viewer auto-switches to new images, whether starred images sort first, sort direction and the size badge.
- Search by metadata filters the board by anything stored with the image: prompt words, model name, seed.
- Click to select, Ctrl or Shift click for multi-select, Ctrl+A for the page. Multi-selection supports Delete Selection, Download Selection and dragging to another board.
- Star an image to pin it to the top of the board.
- Deleting is permanent; Confirm On Delete in Settings adds a confirmation.
The image menu#
Right-click a thumbnail (or use the buttons above the viewer):
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Info | The metadata panel: prompt, model, seed, size, LoRAs, the full graph. |
| Use Seed, Use Prompt, Use Size, Use All | Load that part of the recorded settings into the Generate panel. |
| Remix Image | Use All without the seed. The best way to make a variation. |
| Recall Metadata | Loads settings recorded by another tool that saved them into the file. |
| Send To Canvas | Places the image on the canvas as a raster layer. |
| Send To Upscale, Send To Edit | Opens the image in the Upscaling or Edit tab. |
| Use as Reference Image | Adds the image as a global reference image on the Canvas (see Control layers and references). |
| Load Workflow | Opens the workflow that made the image in the Workflows tab, if it came from one. |
| Copy, Download, Open in New Tab | Browser-side actions on the file. |
| Change Board | Moves the image; dragging it onto a board does the same. |
Viewer and compare#
The viewer shows the selected image; Z toggles it, arrow keys move through the board, F hides the panels. Select for Compare on a second image opens a side-by-side or slider comparison; Swap Images flips them and Exit Compare returns to the single view. The progress preview of a running generation appears here too, when Show Progress Images in Viewer is on.
Batch generation from boards#
A marked board becomes a source of prompts. Mark one or more boards (board menu, or , on the selected board), set model, size and the rest of the settings as usual, and press Generate: one generation is queued per image in the marked boards, oldest first, using that image's positive and negative prompt and your current settings for everything else. Images without a prompt in their metadata are skipped; the button badge shows the expected count.
Use it to re-render a whole board with a new model, size or LoRA, or to move a set of prompts from a draft model to a final one. Marks are not remembered between sessions, so a stale mark cannot start a batch by surprise.
Images in the other studios#
Gallery images feed the rest of the app: a shoot in Video Studio takes its
reference image from here, a character's base and angle images live here on
their own boards, and a training dataset is assembled from gallery images. The
board named LoRA · <character> is created automatically when a dataset is
built from a character.
