Create a character#

  1. Open Character Studio and click New character.
  2. Give it a name. The name is also used for the LoRA trigger word later (chr_<name>), so keep it short and ASCII.
  3. Set the base reference: one clear, front-lit image of the face and upper body. Generate it in Image Studio or import a photo. This image is the anchor for the angle builder and the default face reference for video.
  4. Write the description: the stable traits (age, hair, build, signature clothing). It is reused in dataset captions and in video prompts, so write it the way you would in a prompt.
  5. Save. The character card shows the base reference, the angles once they exist, and the LoRA bank.

Editing later#

Changing the base reference does not change existing angles or LoRAs. Rebuild the angles and retrain if the look changed on purpose; keep them if you only swapped in a cleaner image of the same look.
